I checked out Play and Learn Chinese with Mei Mei from our library.  It is a DVD, 45 minutes long.  I put it on while I'm doing house work, and listen as the children count, learn body parts, play games and sing songs.   It's really quite easy and fun! Here is a video of the preschoolers (2-5s) performing last night.  Koen didn't sing (although he knows the songs) but he sure did dance!  He is the brown horse front and center. Keith's mom and sister came up from Oregon to join my Mom and sister.  My dad stopped by briefly.  Keith made the turkey and gravy, and I did the stuffing and roles. Cancerous cells were only found in the one swollen lymph node of all the nodes removed more than a week ago.  Praise the Lord! It went a little long but the doctor said he got a "wide margin," meaning they believe they got all the cancer out, plus some. The good news is that they received 5 referrals last month - 4 of them girls.  That moves us up several places on the waiting list - so we are probably somewhere between 15 and 18th. Vietnam will close to US adoptions September 1st.  This is incredibly sad news for adoptions in Vietnam.  But, even sadder for us is that Vietnam will only complete the adoptions of those families who have referrals by September 1st.
