- We are a family of 3, soon to be 4. We were married in 2001. Our son, Koen was born in 2006, and somewhere in China our daughter waits for us. The Lord called us to adopt long ago and we started the process with Vietnam. When it closed in the fall of '08 we switched to the China special needs program. We anxiously await the newest addition to our family.
Our Adoption Timeline
- 2/11/09 DTC
- 2/9/09 Finished SN Checklist
- 1/15/09 Finished paperwork for China
- 12/26/08 Received Immigration Renewal, this time to China
- 12/11/08 Filed I600A & I824 for Immigration
- 12/9/08 China Home Study is Done
- 12/4/08-Decided to adopt from China
- 9/15/08- Update I171H
- 9/1/08- Closure
- 9/1/08- 11 Months DTV
- 4/25/08- Bad news: VN will not complete adoptions without referrals by 9/1/08
- 10/1/07- DTV (Dossier to Vietnam), on waiting list
- 9/20/07- Dossier to Consulate
- 9/12/07- All paperwork is in to agency
- 9/10/07- Immigration Approval
- 8/8/07- Filed I600-A, fingerprinted
- 8/2/07- Home study complete
- June 2007- Applied, started home study
- May 2007- Decided on Agency
- February 2007- Started researching agencies
